SOURCING / COST OPTIMISATION

Cost optimisation against one technical baseline.

A credible comparison separates technical equivalence, tooling, production pricing, logistics and quality-related costs.

01

Fix the comparison basis

The drawing, revision, material specification, tolerances, inspection plan, annual volume and delivery model must be consistent across all quotations. Otherwise, a lower price is not a reliable comparison.

02

Identify the cost levers

Geometry simplification, tooling design, cavity count, batch size, packaging, freight and call-off model may affect cost. Every proposed change must be presented as an option and approved technically.

03

No guaranteed savings percentage

COMET does not promise a blanket saving. The outcome may be a lower landed cost, a more resilient source, a lower minimum order quantity—or confirmation that the current solution is competitive.

TECHNICAL ENQUIRY

Benchmark an existing part.

The drawing, current demand and—optionally—the current commercial terms are enough to begin the first comparison.
